Privacy Policy

1. Data stored on your device

Falcon stores the information needed to provide its features locally:

• Test results and history: throughput samples, metrics, configurations, timestamps, notes, and saved results.
• Configurations: app preferences, recent and saved targets, custom presets, saved commands, SSH peer details, and local counters used to decide when the system review prompt may be requested.
• SSH security data on Apple platforms: passwords and private keys are stored in the system Keychain. Known-host keys used for trust-on-first-use verification are stored in the App’s local container. Credentials are not stored in the test-history database.

Falcon does not upload this data to the developer or synchronize it through a Falcon account.

2. Network connections you initiate

Network testing necessarily sends and receives traffic. Falcon connects to addresses you choose when you start a reachability check, client test, local server, or SSH-orchestrated test. The target device, network operator, and internet provider may be able to observe connection metadata and test traffic.

If you choose a server from Falcon’s public-server directory, you are connecting to an independently operated third-party server. Falcon does not control those servers or their logging and privacy practices. Do not send sensitive content through a public test server.

Falcon does not send your test content, history, credentials, or usage analytics to a developer-operated server.

3. App Store services and purchases

Falcon Pro is offered as a one-time Apple In-App Purchase. Apple’s StoreKit service handles product information, payment, entitlement verification, and purchase restoration. The developer does not receive your full payment-card details. Apple processes information under its App Store privacy notice and Privacy Policy.

If you choose an App Store rating or product-page link, the App opens an Apple service. Any information processed there is governed by Apple’s policies.

4. Exports, sharing, and support email

When you export CSV or JSON files, create a result card, or use the system share sheet, you choose the destination. After sharing, the receiving app or service handles the data under its own policies.

If you email support, the developer receives the address, message, attachments, and diagnostic details you choose to provide. This information is used only to respond to your request and is retained only as needed for support, security, and legal obligations. Please remove passwords, private keys, and other secrets before sending.

5. This website

This static website does not set first-party cookies and does not include advertising or analytics scripts. It is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub states that visitors’ IP addresses are logged for security purposes; that processing is governed by the GitHub Privacy Statement.

6. Retention and deletion

You can delete history, saved targets, presets, commands, and related records in the App. Deleting an SSH target also removes the credential Falcon associated with that target from the Keychain.

Uninstalling the App removes data in its application container. Keychain items are managed by the operating system and may persist after an uninstall; Falcon cannot guarantee their removal through uninstallation alone. Exported or shared copies remain wherever you chose to save or send them.

7. Children’s privacy

Falcon is a general-purpose network utility, is not directed to children, and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published here and the date above will be revised.
